THROWBACK THRUSDAY:

Some you of may not not know this, but once upon a time I worked at the HEB Bakery @ I-10 & Wurzbach. We had a great team of talented ladies and awesome guys who worked together to make that store one of the top producers in the city.

At the time, I had worked there for a few months and this was the first holiday I had been asked to take over the showcase for Spooky Season. I was excited and apprehensive about it but in the end I was mostly proud of what I had put together. Working with HEB was and still is one of the highlights of my caking career.

We loved making this simple yet elegant wedding cake for Dave and Sarah's wedding a few weeks back. It was as delicious as it was beautiful!

The cake flavor was a traditional, vanilla-almond cream cake with vanilla buttercream. I was topped with white chocolate ganache and faux flowers.
