Day 3 and final day of the Texas Association of Mariachi Educators State Competition was another one for the books! Congratulations to 6A State Champions, Mariachi Sol Azteca from Grand Prairie! Great job and way to work hard.
Speaking of working hard, huge thank you to our team this weekend, Robert Reyna, Katie Reyna, our nephews Daniel (D) & Aaron Hernandez, Christina, Melissa M. Montes, Daniel Hernandez, Michelle Villanueva and Mom and Dad H... we are blessed with great support and appreciate y'all stepping in.

Texas Association of Mariachi Educators is hosting the 2026 State Contest at Somerset ISD's Performing Arts Center tomorrow and Saturday. We are excited to be cooking alongside Rooster's and Funnel Cake Fanatics both days. Smok’n C’s BBQ will begin selling at lunch time. Welcome to Somerset! We are excited to serve you and see some amazing talent from our young Texas Mariachis.

We are grateful to be able to serve the Fiesta Flambeau Parade Volunteers today! A hamburger and hot dog with all the trimmings for 300 volunteers! If you're headed to the parade tonight, thank these wonderful people for donating their time and working tirelessly to host such a beautiful event for the San Antonio community. What a week it was! We had a catering for steaks and sides, a family wedding for 150 on Saturday, and a pickup for 100 on Sunday for carne guisada & sides! We are grateful and blessed to be able to serve others. Thank you to those who we cooked for and those who support us, whether its liking our social media or sharing by word of mouth. It was great to be around our family for a bit while serving the meal at the beautiful Stoney Creek Venue. We hope everyone enjoyed it. We were so busy, we didn't get to take pictures of the food, but tonight we served chicken fajitas, buffalo wings, brisket, potato salad, baked beans, aaaand the crowd favorite 🥁... a corn in a cup bar. Lastly, Mel Gee thank you for everything! It's lights out for us, we have another catering tomorrow!

Yesterday was a set up day, and today was officially Day 1 of the San Antonio Rodeo BBQ Cookoff with Corona Ranch Roundup, and it has been a busy one! We turned in margaritas, steak, and beans today. We also got recognized by the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo for kids committee for raising the most money last year at our site! Corona Ranch is officially in the 10k Platinum Club!
