Dear Guests,

We are beyond excited to welcome our friends, Chef Esaul and Chef Grecia, to Mixtli for this special collaboration. We’ve admired what the team at 2M Smokehouse has built for many years, and it’s an honor to share our kitchen with them.

We wanted to share a few details to help everyone know what to expect.

This event will follow the classic Texas barbecue experience. If you’ve ever been to places like Franklin Barbecue in Austin or Snow’s BBQ in Lexington, you know that people line up before the doors open. That’s part of the tradition, and we’re excited to bring that spirit here. Our job is to keep the line moving as efficiently and smoothly as possible while making sure every guest is taken care of. If we happen to sell out before you’re able to order, we’ll do everything we can to communicate that as early as possible so you can make the most of the rest of your day.

If you RSVP’d, thank you! The RSVP is simply to help us estimate attendance and prepare as accurately as possible. It does not reserve or guarantee a tray. Service is first come, first served, and availability will be determined by when guests arrive. Our doors will open promptly at 11:00 a.m.

The menu will be offered as two tray options: one that serves two people for $130 and another that serves four people for $260. Desserts, beverages, and merchandise will be available for purchase separately.

Every tray represents an incredible amount of care and craftsmanship. From the finest post oak we could source to handmade macaroni and thoughtfully prepared sides, every detail has been chosen with intention. Most importantly, it’s the result of countless hours of work from a team that truly loves what they do.

Above all, we ask for patience, kindness, and respect for everyone working and attending the event. That spirit is what makes gatherings like this so special. In return, we’ll give you everything we’ve got and do our very best to make it a memorable Sunday.

If travelling by public transport, take the bus or train to the King William Street Station and head south on S Alamo Street for about 5 minutes until you reach your destination.

For those driving, from the downtown area of San Antonio, take E Cesar Chavez Blvd heading south and turn left onto S Alamo St. The restaurant will be on your right-hand side. There is limited street parking available near the restaurant but there are also paid parking lots nearby.
