Opened in 2003, Pat O’s brought the spirit of New Orleans to the heart of Texas, becoming a staple of downtown nightlife with our signature hurricanes, dueling pianos, and live music on the outdoor courtyard. More than just a bar and restaurant, Pat O’Brien’s has been a place where locals and visitors alike came to create memories, celebrate milestones, and “Have Fun!”
But, like many other businesses know all to well, the challenges of the post-Covid era-combined with the ongoing construction surrounding the Alamo, fluctuating tourism and conventions, as well as the rising costs of doing business-have proven too steep to overcome. This wasn’t just a business however, it was a family.
From the guests that walked through our doors to the staff who held us together, Pat O’s was filled with laughter, late nights and a true hospitable legacy!
The soul of Pat O’Brien’s has always been its people. I have been honored to work alongside some of the most dedicated, passionate, and loyal team members in the industry who have called this place home. Over 10 years of Service:Jimmy Alfaro, Damian Ayala, Jesse Carrion, Jennifer Flores, Sequestiny O’Neal, John McClean, Aaron Saenz. Over 15 years of Service:Latreshe Jones, Latisha Lindsay, Amber Martinez, George Vaca, Julia Vallejo. Over 20 years of Service:Jana Burley, Linda Brockevic, Scott Martin, Summer McClean, Christa Napier, Michael Ritualo
These individuals didn’t just work here-they helped build this place; day by day, guest by guest. Their dedication and devotion created the atmosphere that kept Pat O’Brien’s San Antonio vibrant through the decades. What started out as a job for all of us, truly became a family. And as you can imagine, it was filled with so many stories of love, loss and adventure. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for all you have done to make this place so incredibly special.
To our beloved community: thank you for letting us be part of your stories
Viva San Antonio!
