We are temporarily closed pending a meeting next Thursday where we will determine whether we will continue operations or discontinue them. First and foremost, thank you to every single one of you all that supported our business, we are beyond grateful to you all. This wasn’t an easy decision but when operating expenses and overhead exceed sales it’s extremely difficult to survive as a small business. It’s been a tough road, normally business flows south, and occasionally a business from the Rio Grande Valley takes a risk to jump up north to a much bigger market. It’s been a battle since day one, a residential neighbor called the police on us 26 times in the first 30 days of operations with noise complaints and SAPD found zero infractions. (Public information request through SAPD) When SAPD found no wrong doing she moved on to the City Council and sent them our way where they investigated and found no wrong doing or excessive noise. Then we have a business neighbor who constantly complained that his liquor bottles were vibrating off the shelves but we have the same exact bottles with zero falls off shelves. So if getting people in the door wasn’t hard enough, our residential neighbor and business neighbor made it their mission to spread misinformation about us and discredit us to as many potential customers as possible. Instead of focusing on correcting deficiencies and making improvements internally, we spent countless hours defending ourselves from external false accusations. We do hope that we can reach an agreement that will allow us to continue operations. Thank you again to all that supported us and to those that have reached out to check on us.
