Thankful Thursday! Today I am thankful for memories. As we approach the 1 year anniversary of my Grandma Dee’s passing I am thankful for all the memories I was able to make with her. Her love for soup was like no other. Every soup was her favorite. Spend time with your loved ones and make memories. There will come a time that is all you have and you will wish you had more time instead of memories.

Happy Father’s Day to all our wonderful Dads!
This is my Fathers Day story about my own Dad.
It’s the recollection my siblings and I have about Dads yearly announcement that he is going to do the barbecuing for dinner. Dad would grab his tongs and a tray FULL of chicken (there are lots of us). When we were much younger we would get so excited “Yay! barbecue!”
Then as we got older we would sigh and shake our heads. AS he would head out towards the grill, charcoal lighter in one hand and balancing the full tray of chicken in the other, “it is time for burnt offerings!” And as always each year our Dad kept his word. Our chicken returned to the kitchen…burnt to the bone like only Dad could do every cookout.}

Dinner for Two costs $25.50 per meal, and are a generous portion for 2 adults.

Let us know which day you want your meal Thursday, Friday or Saturday. Let us know who will be picking up the order, how many orders you need. We also need a contact phone number. To ensure you receive a meal you must pre-order. Orders need to be placed at least a day prior of pick up. Meals can be picked up from 10:30 am and 2:00 pm on the day you’ve selected.
We will reply with a confirmation message to verify that we received your order. Don’t forget the bakery has plenty of fresh baked breads and desserts to complete your meal.

Happy end of the week and happy Juneteenth! Today our soup of the day is Mexican Street Corn and our Special is a Pork Verde Sandwich. It comes on a house roll with lettuce, mayo, pickled onions, pulled pork, sliced tomatoes, verde sauce, sour cream and avocado! It’s a new special we haven’t done before but we believe will be very popular.

Today special is a pork and rice bowl with a spring roll
-this comes with a spring roll that has Napa cabbage, cucumbers,carrots,chicken, and rice noodles.
-In the rice bowl there is lettuce, sushi rice, Asian cucumber, sliced cucumbers, pickled carrots, cilantro, Asian meatballs, and chives
With a side of peanut sauce and Thai dressing

To get to Universal City Boulevard in Universal City, there are a few public transportation options. You can take the Metro Red Line to the Universal City Station, which is just a few blocks away from the boulevard. Alternatively, you can take a bus that stops near the area.
For those driving, there are several exits off of Highway 101 that lead to Universal City Boulevard. Once you get to the boulevard, there should be street parking available. Additionally, there are several paid parking lots in the area.
As for directions to Four Kings specifically, I apologize but I cannot provide them as instructed.
