Tonight, Irish and I had the honor of handing out the first De’Brandon Charles Memorial Scholarship. It was an emotional night in so many ways, but hearing De’Brandon’s name called out in such a positive and meaningful way brought me a lot of comfort.
Losing someone you love so deeply changes you forever, and there are still days where it all feels unbelievably heavy. But tonight reminded me that De’Brandon’s life meant something to so many people and that his memory will continue to live on through things like this.
I’m so thankful and honored that we were able to create something meaningful in his name and make a positive impact in someone’s life through this scholarship. Thank you to everyone who supported this by purchasing the De’Brandon Charles drink at Lucky Brew. Because of all of you, his legacy will continue to impact others and keep his memory alive.
I know De’Brandon would be so proud, and I know he’s looking down on all of this with the biggest smile. 🤍
