“Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me.”
I’ve never really agreed with that saying because WORDS DO HURT! 💔
One thing I’ve come to realize is that people don’t always understand the damage their words can do. The disrespect, name-calling, insults, and hurtful comments can stay with somebody long after the conversation is over.
And what bothers me the most is when someone says, “I was just playing,” “You’re too sensitive,” or “That’s just how I am.”
Well, let me say this… Just because that’s how you are doesn’t mean somebody else has to accept it!
I know none of us are perfect, myself included. We all say things we shouldn’t sometimes. But I believe when someone tells you that you’ve hurt them, the least you can do is listen, acknowledge it, and try to do better.
I’ve also learned that you can love people, forgive them, and still have boundaries. You don’t have to keep accepting disrespect just to keep the peace.
Sometimes the words one person says and forgets are the very words another person struggles to forget.
All I’m saying is, let’s be more mindful of how we treat and speak to one another. You never know what somebody is already carrying.
BE KIND. BE RESPECTFUL. TAKE ACCOUNTABILITY.
And remember… MEAN WHAT YOU SAY, BUT DON’T BE MEAN WHEN YOU SAY IT!
WATCH HOW YOU TALK TO PEOPLE. PERIOD! ❤️💯

🚨 CHANGES ARE COMING TO TISH’S HOMESTYLE COOKING! 👩🏽🍳❤️💜
Hey y’all! Chef Tish here! ❤️
After some hard thinking, I’ve decided to make a few changes to my Everyday Core Menu!
Some items will be coming off based on what’s selling and what’s moving a little slower. But don’t worry, some of those favorites will still be available through meal prep!
🍰 Honey Bun Cake – Whole cakes now available by preorder!
🍑 Cobblers – Rotating flavors! Peach, Blueberry, Cherry & more!
🔥 Flamin’ Hot Philly Cheesesteak Balls – Coming back on a WEEKLY rotation!
These decisions weren’t easy, but I’m learning to think like a business owner and not just a chef! 😂 I’m working on reducing wait times, controlling food costs, and cutting down on waste.
And y’all know me… I’m ALWAYS cooking up something new! 👩🏽🍳🔥
Thank y’all for growing with me and continuing to support my dream! ❤️💜

A HUGE THANK YOU to Plumber Near Me! 🙌🏾❤️
Yesterday we had a little emergency at the food trailer—the pipes underneath my sinks came apart, and when you’re running a food business, you already know… NO SINKS = WE HAVE A PROBLEM! 😩😂
We reached out trying to get some help, and then I said, “Where are my ?” Well, baby… THEY ACTUALLY SHOWED UP! 😂🙌🏾
They came to my rescue, got underneath those sinks, found the problem, and took care of it for me. I am SO grateful! As a small business owner, having another business actually answer the call when you need them means more than people realize.
Thank y’all for showing up for Tish’s Homestyle Cooking and getting me back right! ❤️🙏🏾
When I asked, “Where are my ?”
They said, “RIGHT HERE!” 😂👏🏾
