What people say
Mexican restaurants are known for their bold flavors, fresh ingredients, and delicious dishes. Torchy's Tacos on E Basse Road in San Antonio is no exception. This fast food restaurant offers a variety of mouth-watering tacos that will leave you wanting more.
Torchy's Tacos was founded in 2006 by Mike Rypka, who left his executive chef position to pursue his passion for good food. Starting with just a mobile trailer and a red Vespa, Rypka began throwing out samples to draw customers to his stand. Before he knew it, people were raving about the "damn good" tacos and Torchy's Tacos became a hit.
Today, Torchy's Tacos has over 70 locations across the country and continues to serve high-quality, cooked-to-order tacos. Their menu features a variety of options including vegetarian and vegan choices.
One standout dish is the Trailer Park taco which includes fried chicken, green chilies, lettuce, pico de gallo, and shredded cheese all wrapped up in a flour tortilla. Another favorite is the Brushfire taco which features Jamaican jerk chicken topped with mango salsa and sour cream.
The atmosphere at Torchy's Tacos is casual and inviting with friendly staff ready to help you choose your perfect meal. Whether you're looking for a quick lunch or dinner spot or want to grab some takeout for home, Torchy's Tacos is sure to satisfy your cravings for delicious Mexican food.
